About Rising Appalachia
Sisters Leah and Chloe Smith founded Rising Appalachia after recording their first album as a gift to family and friends. Rooted in Southern folk traditions, the group blends banjo, fiddle, and acoustic guitar with world percussion, beatboxing, and soul harmonies. Their music draws heavily on Appalachian heritage while incorporating influences gathered from years of global activism and street performance, creating a sound that balances traditional storytelling with contemporary social themes.
A live performance centers on intricate vocal harmonies, spoken word, and multi-instrumental arrangements. The sisters switch fluidly between instruments throughout the set, joined by a full band that brings polyrhythmic drumming and double bass to the stage. Fans looking for listings for rising appalachia tickets can expect an intimate, community-driven concert environment. Anyone choosing to compare rising appalachia tickets across available secondary marketplaces will find a show built around shared song and acoustic storytelling.
