About Bugs Bunny At The Symphony
This orchestral concert brings the classic Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoons to the concert hall. Created by George Daugherty and David Ka Lik Wong, the production projects legendary animated shorts on a large screen while a live symphony orchestra performs the classical music scores precisely in sync with the action. Audiences can watch beloved characters like Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and Porky Pig alongside the titular hare. Finding bugs bunny at the symphony tickets allows families and classical music lovers to experience these historic animations in a grand orchestral setting.
The concept originated from the pioneering work of Carl Stalling and Milt Franklyn, who adapted masterworks by Wagner, Rossini, and Smetana into frantic, brilliant soundtracks for the original cartoons. The show features legendary segments such as What's Opera, Doc? and The Rabbit of Seville, played with the acoustic power of a full orchestra. The production has received critical praise for preserving the heritage of American animation and introducing younger audiences to symphonic music. The performance offers a rare chance to hear complex mid-century orchestrations played live.
