About Riot
The theatrical variety show Riot emerged from the Dublin alternative club scene as a chaotic, high-energy blend of cabaret, drag, circus, and contemporary dance. Created by the Irish production company THISISPOPBABY, the production mixes political activism with pure entertainment, offering a self-described glitter-bomb of a show. Audiences encounter a mixture of spoken word, aerial acrobatics, and live music that critiques modern society while celebrating collective joy. Those looking to compare riot tickets will find a performance that is both a wild party and a sharp piece of social commentary.
The show has toured internationally, earning critical praise and the Best Production award at the Dublin Fringe Festival. Its staging relies on an intimate, cabaret-style atmosphere where performers interact closely with the crowd, making every performance feel unique and unpredictable. The soundtrack blends driving club beats with traditional Irish sounds, keeping the energy levels high throughout the night. Anyone searching for riot tickets can expect an irreverent, fast-paced, and genre-defying theatrical experience that challenges conventions and champions diverse voices.
