Southern Culture On The Skids tickets

Formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Southern Culture On The Skids has spent decades perfecting a distinctive blend of surf rock, rockabilly, country, and garage punk. Often referred to by fans as SCOTS, the three-piece band consists of Rick Miller on guitar, Mary Huff on bass, and Dave Hartman on drums. Their live performances are highly theatrical, celebratory affairs that pay tongue-in-cheek homage to the culture of the American South. Audiences looking for southern culture on the skids tickets can expect a high-energy show defined by infectious rhythms, sharp humor, and a uniquely rowdy atmosphere.

The band grew out of the vibrant independent music scene of the mid-eighties, drawing inspiration from trash cinema, rock 'n' roll novelty records, and roadside Americana. On stage, the trio delivers a wall of sound driven by twanging guitar riffs and driving beats, occasionally tossing pieces of fried chicken into the crowd or inviting audience members on stage to dance. This mix of musical chops and B-movie showmanship creates a communal, party-like environment. The band continues to tour extensively, bringing their signature mix of swamp pop and psychobilly to music venues worldwide.
