About The Polar Express Train Ride
Adapted from the children's picture book by Chris Van Allsburg, this immersive theatrical event transforms a real railway journey into the story of a young boy's Christmas Eve trip to the North Pole. Conrail conductors, dancing chefs, and actors bring the narrative to life inside vintage passenger carriages, recreating key moments from the original tale and its animated film adaptation. Passengers hear the story read aloud while drinking hot chocolate and listening to the familiar motion picture soundtrack.
During the trip, the train travels through the dark towards a recreated festive village, where Santa Claus boards the carriages to meet every family and present each child with a silver sleigh bell. Cast members lead Christmas carol singalongs on the return leg of the trip. Comparing The Polar Express Train Ride tickets from different ticket sellers helps families find available departure slots for this seasonal family experience.
