About A Mountain For Elodie

Created by the Canadian singer-songwriter and playwright Benjamin Scheuer, A Mountain For Elodie is an intimate, one-man musical that explores the profound changes of fatherhood. The piece serves as a companion to his previous autobiographical stage show, focusing on the birth of his daughter and his own journey of understanding his relationship with his late father. Audiences who look for a mountain for elodie tickets will experience a deeply personal narrative delivered through a blend of storytelling and acoustic folk-pop music.

The performance relies on a minimalist stage design, keeping the focus entirely on the solo performer, his guitar, and his evocative lyrics. Scheuer delivers a quiet, emotionally raw performance that handles themes of grief, healing, and generational legacy with gentle humour and vulnerability. The storytelling is conversational and direct, making the theatrical space feel like an intimate living room session rather than a traditional dramatic production.
