About Christmas Carol Goes Wrong

Created by the Mischief Theatre company, this festive comedy grew out of the disaster-prone style of stagecraft that made the troupe famous. The production presents a fictional amateur dramatic society attempting to stage a television broadcast of the classic ghost story by Charles Dickens. Audiences watch the performance fall apart in spectacular fashion as the cast battles collapsing scenery, technical mishaps, and intense backstage rivalries. Anyone comparing christmas carol goes wrong tickets can expect a fast-paced evening of physical comedy, slapstick humour, and clever theatrical tricks.

The staging relies on precise choreography to make the chaotic accidents look convincing and safe. The actors play dual roles, portraying both the classic Dickensian characters and the increasingly panicked amateur performers trying to keep the play moving. The production features a rotating set that reveals the frantic activity happening behind the scenes, alongside audio interference, misdirected special effects, and prop failures. The result is a lighthearted parody that subverts traditional festive theatre into a masterclass in controlled chaos.
