Ring around the Rose tickets

Ring around the Rose is a long-standing participatory performance series designed specifically to introduce young children to the performing arts. Created as a collaboration between Utah Salt Lake Arts Council and local artists, the programme focuses on interactive, barrier-free creative movement and storytelling. Instead of sitting quietly in the dark, children are encouraged to wiggle, dance, and join the performers on stage. Finding ring around the rose tickets allows families to experience a relaxed environment where the traditional rules of theatre are softened for toddlers and primary school children.

Each instalment features a different discipline, ranging from contemporary dance and theatrical clowning to puppetry and live acoustic music. The artists shape their work to accommodate short attention spans, using bright visual props, simple narratives, and call-and-response rhythm games. Because the focus is on active participation, the boundary between the stage and the audience disappears.
