Haas Stage - People's Light & Theatre

The Haas Stage is the main performance space at People's Light in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Converted from an eighteenth-century stone barn, the theatre blends historic rustic architecture with modern theatrical technology. The auditorium features a thrust stage, which extends the playing area into the audience to create an intimate relationship between the actors and those watching. The exposed wooden beams and stone walls contribute to warm, clear acoustics, making both whispered dialogue and musical numbers carry effortlessly through the room.

Attending a production here offers a relaxed, community-focused experience. The surrounding campus includes landscaped grounds and a restored farmhouse, allowing visitors to stroll outside before a performance begins. Inside, the steeply raked seating ensures unobstructed sightlines from every angle, keeping the focus entirely on the storytelling.
